While the location sits quietly near a golf course, the room's age is apparent. Faded wallpaper and a dark brown carpet didn’t do much to elevate the mood. The mattress sagged, and there was an unwelcoming smell from the bedding. A broken window lock left me feeling uneasy about security, given the ground-floor positioning. Shower cleanliness left something to be desired, with hints of mold in the grouting and on the floor. Thin curtains allowed the morning light to seep in, resulting in an early wake-up call. Toiletries weren’t stocked, making for a less than ideal experience during my stay.

I had a lovely stay at Sea Jade Guest House! The hosts, Ann and Saf, were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure I felt at home. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made, and the location was perfect for exploring the beach and town.

We had a lovely stay! Location was a dream, right near shops & the beach. Saf, the owner, was super friendly, sharing his fave local spots and making us laugh. Breakfast was on point, really tasty. Only bummer was the bed could use an upgrade. great vibes and a happy place.

You can’t beat the seafood chowder at The Mermaid and the cracking pasties from Tasty Pasties are a must-try. Plus, Saf was a solid host, always up for a chinwag about cricket!

Could do with a proper shower tray for the gel and a TV upgrade, we had a right old dodgy screen! A few bits could use a spruce up, but nothing that spoiled our fun.

After three wonderful nights, we left feeling like we made lifelong friends. The owners were incredibly hospitable, providing local insights and laughs. The room was pristine and comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious! Bring your walking shoes to explore the stunning coast path easily.

It was a reliable pick for a temporary stay in Bude with good value for the price. The breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order with excellent food every morning. Make sure to ask for local walking tips. they were really helpful.
